Thanks to grant funding from the PKC Digital Exclusion Fund and a generous donation from Branston Ltd, Williamson Hall now has wifi available for use by hall users.
It’s powered by a decent SOGEA fibre connection, and while we can’t promise it’s good enough for multiple users to all stream Netflix at once, at 40+ mpbs it is certainly good enough to allow internet and app access for a number of users, or for business presentations, slideshows, streaming etc.
Wifi installation is part of the ongoing improvement works the hall committee are making, to ensure the hall continues to be an important and well equipped community hub. Improvement works over the last few years have been let and grant funded, as running costs have been fully met by letting income. However with costs rising and many regular groups not re-starting after Covid our letting income is down. Please do consider the village hall if you are holding a community event or party.
You can find our wifi usage t&cs here.
