Williamson Hall would like to say a BIG BIG thank you to the community for such a wonderful fete weekend. It’s been exhausting but massive fun and we’ve had a great atmosphere and support at every event.
SO many people helped out that we can’t mention them all by name but we are very very grateful to all of you who helped set up (in our quickest time ever!) face painted, manned stalls, served teas, helped and organised in the kitchen, wrangled kids on the bouncy castle, helped take it all down again and clean up afterwards and then helped set up for the ceilidh – and especially those who cleaned up after that at midnight! Toddlers organised a brilliant kids disco on the Friday night with lots of helpers and many of you were back again yesterday to volunteer at the hill race. Some of you even ran it after a day of gazebo building, stall manning and then ceilidh dancing!
We had great support from local businesses and would like specifically mention <deep breath>…..Branston Ltd, Exel Wines, Kingdom Housing, Senses Health & Beauty Salon, Tower Garage, Berryfields Tearoom, Let’s Cook Scotland, Gattaway B&B, Dancing Feet Ceilidh Band, Stuart McKandie, Three Wishes in Your Home, Bellfield organic nursery, St. Johnstone Football Club, Perth Leisure Pool, Muddy Boots Fife, Cairnie Fruit Farm, Active Kids Stanley, The Scottish Deer Centre, Jamesfield Garden Centre, Squeaky Clean Cleaning Services, Eles Building Services Ltd, Dave Peebles Electrical, Handy Andy Painter & Decorator, Na Mara Highland Slate, Fiona Normand’s Home Interiors & Tesco. Plus of course all of you who baked or brought along raffle prizes.
Special thanks to Jill Young, Karen Jerrard, Ally Mallinson, Keir Allen, Clara Smith and Anna MacNeill for helping organise the whole lot and keeping me sane. To Colin Morrison for organising the hill race and to the inevitable person I will have forgotten.
Above all we’d like to thank all of you who turned out and danced, spent, danced again and / or ran. Overall we raised just under £2000 which is great news – it allows us to keep on impoving the facilities and funding the hall and we are very grateful.
