Abernethy Hill Race takes place annually as part of the village Gala / Fete weekend. It’s a 3.5km fun run race from the Village Square up to the top of Castlelaw and back (elevation 206m). Overall Course Record is held by Cameron Sale (Boy’s 16&U Category) who ran it in 16 minutes and 14 seconds in 2018.

Not need to pre-register, just come to the village square just before 12.30 on the day. It only goes ahead if weather ok and course not too slippy from prior rain, we will post any announcements on the village FB group on the morning of the race so keep an eye on that. Fingers crossed for the weather too hold!
